5-Day Practical Course - Competent Crew / Day Skipper/Coastal Skipper

Sailing Days Sea School offers practical Sail Training from Chichester Harbour visiting  Portsmouth and other harbours in the Solent and South Coast of England leading to the award of an RYA Certificate. Beginners are welcome. Course fee includes accommodation on Classmate and all meals eaten on board.

£419 (low season), £449 (high season), per person

Weekend 'Start Yachting' Course

An enjoyable weekend on board Friday 19.00 to Sunday 16.00.  By the end of the course you will have experience of all aspects of yacht handling including, steering, sail trim, rope-work and safety on board. At the end of the course you should be awarded the RYA Start Yachting Certificate

RYA  Shore-based Courses
RYA First Aid At Sea - this day aims to provide a working knowledge of First Aid procedures for injuries and illness that might be experienced when afloat on the sea and inland waters. A course for windsurfers, canoeists, sailors, motor boaters or any form of activity connected with water.

GMDSS/VHF one day course - book now for the following date THURSDAY 8th MAY ( £88.00 including certificate ).

RYA Diesel Engine Course - a one day course for those wishing to further their knowledge of marine engines. 

 

RYA Shore based Courses- If you are serious about sailing or motor-boating you will appreciate the need for skills in navigation, safety and the 'rules of the road', in addition to practical boating experience. What better way to acquire a thorough grounding in the basics than by following a course.

We offer the following shore-based training:

Evening Classes - a 24 week Day Skipper course at Westergate Adult Education Centre near Chichester

5 day Intensive Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster- at our base in Westergate

GMDSS / VHF DSC RADIO Courses
The Global Maritime Distress and Safety System should be understood by all who intend to take a boat to sea. This one day course takes you through the rules, regulations and operation of the VHF/DSC radio with practical exercises on training radios and computer simulators. Training is also given on all other aspects of GMDSS.  Those who complete the course successfully will be awarded the VHF/DSC certificate and will be able to use the system legally and with confidence.

Courses held at our base in Westergate .  In addition to our scheduled courses you can book us for your sailing club or association or as an individual for a one day course.
